Event Description

You are cordially invited to experience Kwanzaa 2018 – A Celebration of Family, Community and Culture!

The Kwanzaa Celebration will be held on UJIMA Day.  Doors open at 12:15pm for public viewing of the spectacular exhibition artifacts showcased in the Harambee African Art Community Gallery.  The cultural program will begin at 1 pm.  African Heritage attire is strongly encouraged to portray and support the essence and ambiance of the Kwanzaa cultural tradition.

The 2018 Kwanzaa Celebration will feature:

  • Oblinyanko Drum and Dance Ensemble 
  • EYO, the Stiltwalker with the Teye Sa Thiosanne Drummers
  • a Kora Musician / Baba, the Griot
  • African Folktale Storytelling 
  • Harambee African Art Exhibition
