A native of Los Angeles, California, Crystal Jones, is a results-oriented Geek Girl and servant leader who has served 20+ years as an IT professional in industries ranging from entertainment, financial services, and government. Earning her degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills, with a BA in Behavioral Science and a Minor in Public Administration, Crystal didn’t originally consider IT as her career of passion. After starting her career in accounting, she became the true meaning of the phrase “what is meant for you will find you.” Crystal transitioned to IT following a path that started with accounting and led to her being a business analyst then eventually becoming a PMP certified program manager. (Project Manager Professional) Over the last 10 years, she has been a project manager for various organizations such as Rhino Entertainment, ADP, Ventura County Fire Protection, Disney ABC Network, and Deluxe Entertainment before landing her current role as Quality Operational Excellence Program Manager for Medtronic. Along with being PMP certified, she also holds both the Certified Scrum Master and Professional Scrum Master certifications. Crystal is a huge proponent of the idea of paying it forward and has actively supported various local and national causes through mentoring women and the next generation of BIPOC students in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math). She has led internship and mentoring programs and is currently the board president of Ashe Arts and STEM where she is also able to hone her philanthropic efforts and support students through scholarships. She is married to KJ Jones and when she’s not being a mom to her four-legged child, Jasper, she loves to sing. You’ll never know if or when you may hear a few notes.
