The Apology Tour, led by Experience Christian Ministries Pastor, Shep Crawford, is a collective of 40 faith-based organizations embarking on a transformative journey to engage communities in an apologetic way, fostering understanding and unity. The Apology Tour will be held outside in the heart of South Central LA with a press conference attended by faith-based leaders, community activists, stakeholders, and local elected officials.
Each participating ministry will walk out of the building and into the community for 1-4 hours, offering varying services or giveaways reflective of that community’s need assessment and priorities.
“The Church is striving to strike a balance between having a church within the building and being the church within the community. The building serves as a gas station, but the ultimate destination is to create a healthy community.” Pastor Shep Crawford.
On Pentecost Sunday, May 28th, participating ministries all over California, including Los Angeles, Compton, Long Beach, Inglewood, Watts, South Central, and San Bernardino, will engage with the community by walking out of their buildings and into the neighborhoods offering services tailored to the community’s needs like providing court support, local school engagement, gang intervention advocacy, healing spaces, community meetings, resources, and giveaways.
