Event Description

Spring Washam, a well-known meditation teacher, author, and visionary leader based in California and Peru, presents a class to call on one of our greatest ancestors, Harriet Tubman! All are invited to join this powerful, five-week class in with the goal to explore the life, spiritual message and legacy of Harriet Tubman. Themes will include, Prison of the Mind, The Spiritual Warrior, Resiliency, Courage at the Crossroads, the Bodhisattva heart, the symbolism of the underground railroad, Wisdom and Calling on our Ancestors.

Each week will study a different facet of her life and how it can be applied to what is happening in our world today. Together we will explore how to meet the challenges of this current moment with an open heart and find the courage and wisdom to face the unknown together just like Harriet would do. By walking in the footsteps of Harriet we will find the courage to walk our own path with love, faith and dignity.
