Event Description
Nani Agbeli, one of the leading Ghanaian artists of his generation, will lead a traditional Ghanaian African dance workshop, designed to build personal resilience, to be followed by a Community Open Mic.
This event offers our community a safe space and the opportunity to share experiences around COVID, Black Lives Matter, and SARS, via music, songs, poetry, spoken word, story-telling, art, photos, and other forms of expression.
You can share original work or that of authors, artists, musicians, and activists whose work has inspired / sustained you during these difficult times. Submissions accepted until 11/20/20. Each participant will have 3 minutes to share. For longer works, select a short excerpt. Gift certificates awarded to top 3 audience choice!
