Beyond 400 Years: Reaching Across Continents into the Future
Become a part of this historical and commemorative tour to Ghana that includes the option for a 2-night stopover in Paris for a Paris Noir Tour (Black Paris Tour). Travel dates are July 21- August 3, 2019
PANAFEST, the Pan African Historical Festival, is a landmark biennial event celebrated in the spirit of “Re-Uniting the African Family.” In 2019 PANAFEST – Ghana will commemorate the lives of Africans who were taken in bondage 400 years ago and whose labor built the wealth of many European nations and the U.S. This commemoration will focus on bringing together the community of Africans on the continent of Africa and those who were dispersed throughout the diaspora. Events will be held in Accra, Elmina and surrounding areas.
This travel program will be open to a maximum of 20 participants and will involve movement to key locations in Ghana to participate in various programs, symposiums, and ceremonies.
Beyond 400 Years is a collaborative effort with both the Government of Ghana and the African American Community in Ghana.
